I Can, I Will, I Am
I “try” hard at many things. I try to be a good friend. I try to be communicative in my relationship. I try to reach my sales goals for the quarter. I try to eat well.
And while trying is better than giving up or not giving it your all, I still find myself relenting to the “try” instead of believing in the “can, am, and will.” “Try” means we put forth effort, but
can easily stop if things get hard or we hit a wall. “Well, we tried!” “I will try again next time.” And like I said, that is not bad, but a subtle shift in your mindset changes your whole perspective and even the outcome.
“Can, will, and am” means believing in and committing to the outcome. I am a good friend. I am communicative with my significant other. I will reach my sales goals. I can make healthy choices.
What do you need to shift in your life from a “try” to a “can, will, and am”?
