Promise and Overdeliver
There is a concept that people use a lot that I have never really understood, “Under promise and overdeliver.” Sure, the idea is easy enough BUT it is the actual execution of it that I just don’t get. Why in the world would you under promise anyone anything? When did this become a thing?
I believe it is just setting yourself up to be purposefully subpar.
Instead, I say, “Promise and overdeliver.” Fully commit and THEN knock their socks off.
No sense in setting yourself up to look good by intentionally setting the bar low
